We'll put up singer-songwriters on a weekly basis at the new student-run restaurant 'skek. Every Thursday starting at 10 PM, our best songwriters will play at 'skek. Check it out, the food is not only perfect, but also amazingly cheap. It's at the Zeedijk 4-8, in the Red Light District of Amsterdam.We start off with Lake, on Oct 19. She's the most original blues songwriter around. Whether she plays only with her guitar, or supported with the superb human beatboxer Sebastien, her voice brings it all home. Where is home at? Think New Orleans, somewhere around the thirties...
