ASG celebrates last day of Wils Cafe

Today the 28th of February will be the last day of Wils Cafe. Sad. But to give Wil something to remember, we have organized a singer/songwriter evening there. Just like the one in Soundgarden. There's going to be enough music to get you through the night. There'll be Robin Block, Reaganesk, Daniëlle Papenborg, Arthur ten Cate, Selma, me, and maybe some foreign guests that want to play.

Wils Cafe is located on the opposite of Anne Frank's house, at the Prinsengracht. Or should I say was located?

Surprise gig in Wils Cafe

This Tuesday the Roadies will surprise Wil with a gig in his bar, Wils Cafe. Yes, that's today. We need to practice for Wednesday, when we will play in Parnassos with Daniëlle. Pien won't make it, because she will go to Bright Eyes in Tivoli. Oh, now I said it. Don't go to Bright Eyes, come to the real thing in Parnassos!
The guitarist Dre of King Me will fill in some accordeon parts for the Roadies in Parnassos as well.

Oh, do I still need to say where Wils Cafe is? On the opposite of Anne Frank's House...

Soundgarden show on the web

I have found some pics of the latest ASG gig in Soundgarden! I invited a host of Flickr-ati friends, so no wonder pics of the event show up on the web. It was my first gig ever, and I could have done a lot worse. During the soundcheck, my guitar sounded so awful that I had to use the one from Arthur ten Cate. That guitar happens to be right-handed, like most of the guitars in the world... But I rehearsed all my songs on my own lefty guitar!
Never mind, from the reactions of the audience, they could not hear the difference :)
